Get to know me
My name is Katelyn Beveridge (she/her), and I’m so glad you’re here!
If you’ve ever found yourself stuck in the cycle of “I’ll start over tomorrow,” constantly thinking about food, your body, or trying to be “good,” you’re not alone. I know that place deeply. For years, I lived in the world of chronic dieting: counting calories, exercising as punishment, and promising myself each day would be the day I finally got it “right.” It was exhausting, all-consuming, and often left me feeling disconnected from myself.
That lived experience is a big part of what brought me to this work.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, which— along with my lived experience—has provided me with a strong theoretical foundation as a therapist. I’m passionate about helping people build a more compassionate, sustainable relationship with food, their body, and themselves. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and rooted in the belief that you don’t need to be “fixed.” You deserve support in understanding yourself, building skills, and finding what actually works for you in your real life.
I strive to create a space that feels safe, inclusive, and accepting of all identities, bodies, and experiences. You can show up exactly as you are here. No judgment, no expectations.
Outside of my work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my yellow lab, Brodie, reading a good book, or soaking up summer days at the cottage. I value balance, connection, and the small moments that help us feel like ourselves again, and I bring that same energy into the therapy space.
